Skull Piercings: Gothic Style Skull Motifs
Large Skull Piercings make a deliberate statement.
A Skull Piercings is a true classic in the gothic and rock scene, adding a distinct, dark accent to your look. We offer over 40 models starting from 4.99 €: belly button piercings with dangling skulls and cubic zirconia, captive bead rings with skull balls, titanium labrets with push-in or internally threaded skull tops, eyebrow piercings, and barbells with skull ends. For stretched earlobes, we have skull tunnels and plugs, such as black designs with a gold finish.
Skull Piercings at PiercingXXL: our selection
Discover our collection of over 30 skull piercings for your style, available in silver, gold, or black metal colors, with some models crafted from titanium. You can choose designs decorated with zirconia stones, featuring flat back labrets, internally threaded closures, or threadless push-in systems. Complete your look with a hinged clicker ring or a piece with a movable pendant.
Shapes, Materials, and Combinations
The skull represents gothic, metal, and Halloween styles, and can be subtly incorporated as a small stud or worn as a bold, eye-catching pendant. On the belly, the skull dangles below the navel on a skull belly button piercing, while on the eyebrow, it sits at the end of a curved barbell, just like you know from a classic Eyebrow Piercing. For the ear, small titanium skull labrets offer a subtle touch, and straight barbells with skull balls are perfect for nipple or tongue piercings. You can find more dark motifs in our Gothic Piercing collection.
Most models are made of 316L surgical steel, alongside ASTM F136 titanium and brass. Brass is fashion jewelry and should only be worn in fully healed piercings. Plugs and tunnels made of wood, bone, glass, or acrylic are only suitable for already stretched and healed earlobes.
Our Practical Advice
Highly detailed skulls have small crevices around the eyes and teeth where aftercare products can build up. Therefore, rinse your Skull Piercings regularly with clear water to keep the contours clean and clearly visible.
Frequently Asked Questions About Skull Piercingsss
Are there skull belly button piercings with stones?
Yes, several models combine a silver-colored skull with cubic zirconia, sometimes as a dangling pendant. This allows you to mix a gothic vibe with a touch of sparkle on your Belly Button Piercing.
Can I wear a skull as a nose or tongue piercing?
For the tongue, straight barbells with a skull ball in the appropriate length are ideal. For the nose, small labrets with a skull top are a great choice, provided your piercing channel is suitable for them.
Is a Skull Piercings suitable for everyday wear?
Small skulls on the ear or eyebrow are subtle and often only noticed at second glance. Large pendants and skull plugs, on the other hand, are designed to make a bold statement.

How your ear piercing heals
Clean twice a day with sterile saline solution and only touch with clean hands.
Do not change the initial jewelry and do not sleep on the pierced side.
An earlobe is usually healed after six to twelve weeks. Cartilage like a helix or tragus takes six to twelve months.
Once everything is calm, you can insert new jewelry – in the same gauge as before.
These times are guidelines; every healing process is different. In case of severe pain, swelling, or pus, please consult your piercing studio or a doctor.
