Retainers are not really piercings in the strict sense; they are worn when you want to remove a piercing for professional reasons, or for any other situation where visible jewelry is inappropriate. They can be coloured but are generally transparent, serving to prevent a piercing from closing while remaining as discreet as possible. Piercing retainers are available in all forms to conceal piercings. We offer a wide range of discreet surgical steel retainers, but for greater discretion, we offer retainers in PTFE, acrylic retainers, and bioflex retainers. This last material, being very flexible, is also used as Barbell Pregnant Piercing, necessary for those who need to remove their standard piercing during pregnancy due to the growth of the baby. When the belly grows and adds a lot of pressure at the navel piercing, bioflex will stretch more than metal piercings and are therefore more comfortable.
