Upper Lobe Piercing
The upper lobe piercing is a piercing located on the earlobe, more precisely on the upper part of the earlobe to distinguish it from the classic lobe piercing. The upper lobe piercing is most often adorned with an Earstud or an Earring. Although rarer, the upper lobe piercing can also be adorned with a Barbell Piercing. We offer Titanium Barbell Piercing and Gold Barbell Piercing in addition to surgical steel. These piercings are available in different sizes, which are 6 to 8 mm in length and 0.9 to 1.2 mm in thickness for ear studs and barbells.
Upper Lobe Piercing Procedure
The cost of the upper lobe piercing procedure varies by studio, but it is usually between 15 € and 25 € (30€ and 40€ for both ears). The procedure should be carried out with a needle rather than a gun for hygiene and precision reasons. The level of pain of the lobe piercing is usually described as low because the lobe is the only part of the ear that does not contain cartilage. The procedure is quick, and the risks associated with this procedure are reduced, but this does not prevent the need to provide proper care for the piercing. The healing time is from 6 to 8 weeks for the initial healing.
