Barbell Piercings
The barbell is one of the most common types of Piercings jewellery. This body jewellery looks like a barbell. The versatile barbell is a Straight Barbell Piercing bar that is decorated at both ends. The ends of the barbell can be shaped differently. The end pieces in our shop range, for example, from simple balls, flowers and stars to more unusual designs such as eyeballs, cubes or fish scales. Barbell Piercing Sizes
Barbells can be used for many piercing locations. Basically, the straight piercing bar can be used in almost every piercing canal that has not been pierced through a curved part of the body. This includes Ear Piercing, Tongue Piercing, Nipple Piercing and many types of Intimate Piercing. Barbells are most often used as jewellery for tongue and nipple piercings.
In these different parts of the body, the barbell is used in different sizes. Normal ear piercings such as the Helix Piercing are often decorated with barbells with a bar length of 6 - 8 mm. The barbell is particularly popular as a first insert after piercing. The somewhat more special Industrial Barbell Piercing is pierced through two piercing points in the ear and connected with a particularly long barbell bar from 30 mm. Barbell bars from 16 mm are common for tongue piercings, while barbells with a length of about 12 - 14 mm are usually used for nipple piercings.

Barbell Piercing Closure
The two ends of the barbell jewellery can be attached to the barbell bar with different types of closures. The internal and external thread are the best known thread types for this body Jewelry. But also the innovative Push-In Piercing is an increasingly popular closure for the barbell.
The Internally Thread Piercing and the Push-In system offer a special advantage. Both types of closure cause little irritation to the piercing site, as only the smooth piercing bar is inserted into the piercing canal. With the internal thread, the grooves, with which the decorative closure ball is screwed on, are on the attachment and thus do not disturb the piercing canal. The ball of the Push-In has no grooves to be screwed on, but is held in the piercing bar by pressure alone. This makes the Push-In piercing particularly gentle.
