Prince Albert Piercing

The Prince Albert piercing is the most well-known of all male genital piercings. This piercing is located at the tip of the penis, and although there are several variations of this piercing, the classic Prince Albert typically enters through the underside of the glans and exits through the urethra. The name of this piercing comes from a legend surrounding Prince Albert of Saxe, who was married to Queen Victoria in 1840. In those times, aristocrats wore tight-fitting trousers, and to disguise the shape of his penis as much as possible, the Prince is said to have had this piercing done with the idea of attaching a string to it to keep it close to his thigh. Of course, nothing is proven in this story, but it does not stop it from enduring and fueling conversations.

Prince Albert Piercing Jewelry

For the Prince Albert piercing, different types of piercings bring different constraints or comfort. The Curved Barbell Piercing reduces movement and therefore provides better comfort. The Horseshoe Piercing, on the other hand, allows for more movement of the piercing; however, it allows for much easier cleaning. Finally, the ring of CBR Piercing is flexible and can also cause irritations due to movement. Our piercings are available in various materials such as surgical steel, titanium, or gold. Each of these materials has its characteristics and they are all skin-friendly.

Healing and Care of the Prince Albert Piercing

The cost of getting a Prince Albert piercing varies depending on the studios but is generally between €50 and €100. The level of pain of the Prince Albert piercing mainly depends on each person's pain tolerance; however, the Prince Albert piercing is in a very sensitive area and the pain experienced during the piercing is usually high. Healing time also varies depending on the individual and the care given to the piercing, ranging from 2 to 4 weeks for initial healing, but complete healing can take several months.
